I start kindergarten at Noelani in a week and I’m super excited! We have all my new school supplies ready and I can’t wait to use them!

One year in the making and yes, it’s more than just rocks but it sounds better than saying “My Random Junk Collection”… Besides, daddy’s got one of those and I don’t want to copy

Best teacher in the world: “K8 what can you tell me about fish?”

K8: “They have gills to breathe through and mouths and eyes. Those are so they don’t bump into each other.”

BTITW: “What about birds?”

K8: “They have wings to fly. Sometimes they fly all over the world. And sometimes they get hit by cars.”

K8: “Daddy, can you explain to me calories?”

Daddy: “Calories is the amount of energy it takes to heat 1 ml of water 1 deg, it’s like, energy”

K8: “You mean, like the energy from the sun?”

Daddy: “Something like that, very smart K8! if you eat too much calories and your body can’t use it you get fat”

K8 “like YOU daddy?”

Laughing ensues… note, my daddy was wrong, its the amount of energy needed to heat 1kg, not 1ml.

“Daddy, you’re going to make so much money that you and mommy don’t have to work and you and mommy can pick me up from school everyday, right daddy?”
